Meet Dr. Corina Radu
Dr. Corina Radu IS BACK from her one year working sabbatical in Germany, where she worked as an orthodontist in a large US Army Specialty Dental clinic. Serving our best, the active duty soldiers and their dependents, she was actively involved in their orthodontic care, diagnosing, treating and coordinating complex interdisciplinary cases, some of them needing extractions, periodontal and jaw surgery. She was thanked for her service and returned to her suburban orthoodontic practice resuming her role as a treating orthodontist and practice owner.
She is thankful to all the referring dentists, patients, her Orthodontic Associates Dr. Emil Marogil and Dr. Clarence Red and her wonderful staff that took care of the practice, allowing her some time off for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Back in her practice Dr. Corina Radu is dedicated to helping her patients with all their orthodontic needs.
She is offering free consultations for patients of all ages, with many treatment options, individualized to everyone’s lifestyle and needs. From simple space maintainers, expanders and early treatment in patients as young as age 7, to complex adolescent and adult cases , treated with traditional braces (lingual, clear and metal) or clear aligners (Invisalign and Clear Correct).

Corina received her DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1999. Her orthodontic specialty training was completed in 2001 at the Children’s National Medical Center Hospital/George Washington University in Washington, DC. Born, raised and college educated in Europe-Romania, Corina won a diversity visa lottery in 1995 and with it the right to legally immigrate to the US. She served her new country as a dentist and captain in the US Army Reserves from 2001-2004.
Dr. Corina Radu’s professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists and Illinois Society of Orthodontists. She achieved the highest distinction of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2002 and recertified in 2012 till 2022. She is a Certified Provider for Invisalign®, Invisalign Teen and Clear Correct.
An open-minded clinician, committed to providing outstanding service for her patients and always incorporating new and refining techniques, she attends numerous orthodontic education courses, and limits her practice to orthodontics exclusively. She enjoys treating complex interdisciplinary cases such as combined orthodontics with jaw surgery and “Wilckodontics” (periodontally accelerated orthodontics), and incorporates routinely laser procedures and mini-implants that facilitate faster and more predictable orthodontic treatment results.
She takes great pride in taking care of her patients and her three children, Julia, Alex and Johnny. Julia and Alex finished their braces last year and currently are wearing retainers (while bleaching). The youngest of three, Johnny is working on improving his brushing to avoid developing more cavities and wiggle many loose baby teeth. He will need at one point an expander and full braces.
